The Michelle Obama Wardrobe Watch is about
to get more interesting. I just got a tip that her unofficial stylist Ikram
Goldman recently requested a white Maison Martin Margiela tuxedo from Spa
International, the Italy-based distributor, for the first lady. “The tuxedo was
completely sold out, so they commissioned one for Michelle in two days,”
says my source, who wishes to remain anonymous.
This is kind of a big deal for several
reasons. Martin Margiela is a fashion god of sorts, revered by just about
everyone in the industry for his innovation. So this move shows a clear
appreciation for the avant-garde on Michelle’s part. (Keep in mind she’s worn
Junya Watanabe cardigans several times recently. She chose cardigans, yes. But
who would have thought that any kind of piece by an experimental designer would
ever be in the White House?) Secondly, this would also be another unexpected break from
her usual rotation of emerging American designers. And lastly: A white tuxedo!
Michelle is clearly mixing up her sheath dress and cardigan formula. That’s a good thing.

Love the sound of that!
Michelle Obama to Wear Martin Margiela Tux?
Ikram specially commissioned one for her. In white!
I’m having deja vu. The NYTimes predicted that Michelle would wear Margiela “by March” last years. So it looks like she’s just a few months off but the prediction was spot-on. http://themoment.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/01/23/inauguration-michelle-obamas-landslide/
wow, can’t wait to see those pics. i’ve been waiting for her to spice things up a bit!
She sounds to be sweet smart & good person But that wear might be when we look carfully like some thing make any one see it make his thinking and eyes very tired if she wears light green with crimson red colors good or light violet with yellow or light sweet orang with darkined yellow that would be very nice for her i say this 4 u people of fashion haha hahaha
