Erase all of those images of childhood “four eyes” taunts and ad promos for “Ugly Betty.” Eyeglasses are no longer symbolic of geekdom. They’re as legitimate a fashion accessory as a pair of statement heels. And we’re not talking Sarah Palin spectacles. Instead, think Prada’s autumn 2010 show, which featured subversively sexy models in cat eye frames, or Louis Vuitton’s collection for the same season, which had models wearing “Mad Men” style glasses with cobwebby lens. So rather than viewing them as a prescriptive necessity, make the eyeglasses an extension of your look. Here are a few great frames worth starting with.

Cutler and Gross Cat Eye frames, Linda Farrow Luxe 54 C3 frames, Prism Cream Tortoise Shell frames

Glasses can definitely fall into the accessories category now – especially as hipsters are now wearing prescription free styles or just lens free frames.
P.S. Love the tortoise shell frames -retro with a modern twist.
P.P.S The nude frames will certainly compliment this season’s neutral trends.
