Sometime around December of last year, I decided that I couldn’t wear about three quarters of the jeans and trousers in my closet because the length felt all wrong. I wanted them to have a very slim fit, like Giroga pictured on the bottom, and hit just above the ankle, like Marina’s in the top photo. So I hacked a few inches off most of my skinny jeans and took a few others to a tailor near my office. And I’ve been flashing my ankles for all the world ever since. I was tired of my long, flared legs dragging the sooty ground.
